The primary purpose of this animal control center is stray animal control.

Animal Control Officers are responsible for all domestic pet issues within Johnson City and Washington County.

If you need assistance with a stray animal, please call 423-926-8769 between 12-5pm seven days a week.

If you have been involved with a dog/cat bite, please call 423-926-8769 during operating hours or 911 after 5pm.

If we are picking up your own animal, a charge of $10 will be assessed and collected by the officer at the time of pick-up. That fee also applies if we are picking up a stray cat caught in your own humane trap. There is no charge if you bring the animal in yourself.

Non-Washington County residents are not allowed to bring animals to this shelter.
